Walk n. 1 – The Lemon orchards of Gargnano

Gargnano is the place on Garda where the first experiments of the lemon orchard took place. special thanks for this should go to the Franciscan brothers who here, in the XIIIth century, constructed the firs “greenhouse”, with the idea to protect the delicate citrus plants from the cold winter.
The itinerary will guide you to other charming corners of Gargnano, where the presence of lemon orchards has left a deep imprint.
